We envision the future of agriculture with less chemical inputs, with more fertile soils, a closed cycle agricultural systems following natural processes, a brake on the extinction of species and protection of bees.
In view of the protection of the environment and biodiversity as well as the health of people which is interconnected with the health and sustainability of ecosystems, we developed based on our private standard and the EU legislation for organic production, the process of confirming the suitability of inputs for organic farming.
The project “Eco Fert – Inspection, assessment and confirmation of suitability of inputs for organic farming” which we are currently managing, aims to further develop the process for the purpose of issuing a Certificate or Certificate of Suitability for fertilizers and plant protection products.</p >
On this page, an electronic database will contain all the registers of the contracted companies so that there is easy and immediate access to those interested.
Is the Certificate of Eligibility necessary?
The Certificate of Suitability will give added value to the inputs intended for organic farming. As the demand for organic products and raw materials increases, the proportion of agricultural land cultivated organically is increasing in Europe and worldwide. In Greece, the area cultivated organically is 9.3%, in Europe the area is 7.5% of the total cultivated land of the EU. Based on the EU strategy “Farm to Fork” the area cultivated organically will increase to 25 % in Europe by 2030. Consequently, the use and search for inputs suitable for organic cultivation will increase. At the same time, the need to confirm suitability arises from the demands of customers and consumers.
Certificates of Eligibility are granted to:
